What to Expect

Workshops are full of life and beaming with smiles. There is never a dull moment when hands-on experience through experiments and observations are at the core of the learning. Children are constantly connected back to reality with the relevance of their learning; opening their eyes to endless possibilities and an emergence of social responsibility.

Children will have their hands full of cool mementos from experiments they conduct.

Benefits

Children learn critical thinking skills through the scientific methodologies and practices of observation, hypothesis formulation and deductive reasoning. We introduce basic principles of chemistry, biology and physics.

The programme leaves a a lasting impression on our mini scientists.

Elaine holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Microbiology (2nd Upper) from National University of Singapore. Her first love is Science an interest that has led her to work as a Microbiologist and a health educator. She has written Health Education books under Pearson Publishing.

Besides designing Math and Science enrichment programmes for primary and secondary schools, she also acts as an educator for leaders.
Elaine designs and leads Science learning journeys to the Zoo, Sungei Buloh, Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, Jurong Lake Gardens and the domes in Gardens by the Bay. In addition, she conducts Environmental Education, Science Olympiad and Science enrichment classes in primary schools and Upcycling and Urban Farming programmes in secondary schools.

Elaine applies Science in her daily life. In her free time, she experiments with making contraptions such as a solar cooker to cook her eggs in the hot noon sun. During the circuit breaker, she repurposed her collection of 70 drink cartons into planters to grow vegetables using hydroponics. Now, she designs online classes for Science enrichment in primary schools.
