Recycle & Reuse

Outcome

We teach the art of transforming everyday practical wooden items into one of a kind designs using a combination of techniques, such as distress chalk painting, acrylic dotted painting, decoupage and image transfer.

We facilitate lessons by helping children explore their inner creativity as they make-over their pieces into beautiful works of art. From a plain wooden block, a piece of small furniture to little trinkets – children will discover the excitement of transforming these items by tapping into their own original and creative flair.

Objectives

Inspiring children to see the beauty in all things, even an old pre-loved item – this workshop encourages children to explore ideas to recreate objects for the purpose of, reusing them.

We share easy-to-follow methods in a variety of techniques, so children can understand and appreciate the part they can play in recycling for the greater good of our environment.

About Us

Ardent fans of mixed-media art, the trio that make up The Chalk Paint Enthusiasts - started experimenting with toxic-free chalk paint by distress painting pre-loved wooden furniture and vintage pieces. Their love for this rustic art form and free-flow experimentation has since evolved into exploration of other techniques such as image transfer and dotted painting. With their diverse range of disciplines, lessons go beyond sharing techniques – so be prepared to be playful and get messy!
